Another ‘Loving and Cooking’ recipe.


  • 4 cups medium borghul (cracked wheat), rinsed and drained
  • 6 cups lightly salted boilin water or stock
  • 2 cups of cubed halloumi cheese, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup of finely chopped fresh dill
  • small amount of butter (optional)


Cook borghul in salted water or stock on low heat for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and add the halloumi, dill and butter. Mix gently with fork. Replace the lid and leave to swell for 10-15 minutes. Mix again gently with a fork.
