A nice alternative to pea and ham soup, perfect for a cold winter’s day.

INGREDIENTS

  • celery, sliced
  • brown onion, sliced
  • country soup mix, soaked overnight in cold water
  • ham slices, diced
  • garlic
  • 1 large potato, dice
  • salt and pepper
  • parsley
  • chicken stock
  • water

METHOD After soaking the country soup mix in cold water overnight, rinse well and boil for 10 minutes. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook overnight.
